China Hongqiao adheres to Chinese laws and regulations, including the Production Safety Law, the Special Equipment Safety Law, Interim Provision on Potential Production Accident Investigation and Management, Production, and Business Operation Entities Safety Training regulation and Shandong Province Safety Production Regulation. Hongqiao has compiled and implemented comprehensive safety management measures and emergency plans. Devoted to raising staff’s safety awareness and building their emergency response capability, it offers monthly safety events and regular safety training for its employees, educating them about first-aid treatment, usage of special equipment like lifting machines and emergency treatments. Safety production remains at the focus of Hongqiao employees of all levels. Leaders of Hongqiao’s subsidiaries are all subjects to regular security knowledge assessment that tests their capability of risk control and management. The company also keeps optimizing its manufacturing system, automating its production line, and upgrading its equipment to strengthen its safety production capacity. 2018, for example, is a year that saw considerable renovations that lowered labor intensity, improved the operating environment, and reduced safety risks. Hongqiao introduced a fully automatic busbar lifting frame and developed an automatic height measuring device with anodes to prevent employees from working at high altitude in 2018.

China Hongqiao abides by relevant Chinese laws, including the Production Safety Law, the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Treatment of Occupational Diseases, and the Provisions on the Supervision and Administration of Occupational Health at Work Sites. Hongqiao vows to guarantee the occupational health of its employees with extensive measures, such as warning and informing staff about occupational diseases, their hazards and prevention measures, maintaining protective equipment and facilities, monitoring and evaluating potential risks, timely reporting dangerous accidents, and carrying out the emergency rescue. Hongqiao provides its employees with a full range of professional protection equipment. That includes safety helmets, protective glasses, earplugs, heat-proof labor protection shoes, insulating shoes and gloves, acid-proof and alkali resistant gloves, dustproof masks and gas masks. It also monitors closely whether employees are wearing those gears and if the equipment operates effectively. 


To better identify and control the sources of various pollutions – air pollutants, dust, noise, and radiation – which are often the origin of occupational disease, Hongqiao authorized qualified vocational health service agencies to perform regular tests. The human resource department of the company pays close attention to new employees and those exposed to inductive factors of occupational disease. It arranges pre-job and on-job occupational health examinations, establishes health records and regularly monitors their health status, and provides off-job vocational health examinations for employees when they leave their posts.
